Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg addressed a townhall gathering at IIT Delhi today. This is Zuckerberg’s second visit to India. He discussed many topics including “why is India so important for his company” and net neutrality.
While giving answers to a gathering of over 900 people, Mark Zuckerberg disclosed that Facebook has over 130 million users in the country, and India is their most important market in the world. He said- “If you really have a mission of connecting every person in the world you can’t do that without connecting people in India.”
He was also asked “how to stop getting Candy Crush requests”. He told the audience that this is the top voted question on their thread, and they are working on a solution to stop receiving Candy Crush requests.
On being asked about his visit to the Taj Mahal on Tuesday, he said it was better than the pictures. He even posted a picture of Taj Mahal on Facebook, and wrote- “It is even more stunning than I expected. It’s incredible what people can build – and what love can motivate us to build.”
