6 Things You Do That Drive Your Partner Away

Nobody is perfect and if they are perfect then they are not real. So here is the thing, that we humans commit mistakes and then learn from those mistakes. There is no one who has never made a mistake.

Same goes for a romantic relationship, a person commits mistake but then it depends on how they react to it, whether they learn from the mistake and avoid doing it again or they keep repeating the same mistake which ultimately drives their partner away from them.

Here are a few mistakes that you might be unknowingly committing:

1. Not speaking up

Communication is very important in a relationship, if you are not speaking up and expressing your feelings for your partner then this might be the thing driving them away from you. If there is something bothering you, do not afraid to speak up about it because speaking up means that you care.

2. Putting yourself first, always

No need to say much about this one, well, if you are always like ‘me, me, me’ then your partner might want to call it quits into making any more efforts for you because they too want to be recognized in the relationship. It is not only about one person but about both.

3. Being negative

Being negative all the time may deflate the enthusiasm of your partner and your negative energy might also rub onto your partner which may drive you both away. Having a negative outlook for everything might hurt both of you adversely.

4. Never saying sorry

It wouldn’t hurt to accept your mistake sometimes and saying sorry for what you have done. You may not always be wrong but sometimes, you are wrong and if you own up to your mistakes then be assured that your partner will stay with you for a long haul.

5. Keeping secrets

The relationship is based on honesty and if you are not honest with your partner and keeping secrets from them, then this might harm your relationship in the worst way possible. You can maintain some of the small secrets that are not quite related to you both but big things must be shared.

6. Being too critical

Do not be too critical of things and ask loads of questions, leave that for the parents to do, you just need to support them in all way ppossible. Of course, you should guide them but being too critical of their actions will make them feel that you do not trust them with their actions or you are too controlling.
