All the men out there, if you want to know what it takes to be a girl, then watch – Man’s World, a series by Yash Raj’s youth films wing, Y Films. Many actors including Gaurav Pandey, Kalki Koechlin, Parineeti Chopra, Shruti Seth, Soni Razdan, Bhumi Pednekar, can be seen in the four-part series.
The series is a mockery on the Indian society and gender inequality. It supports Goal 5 of the United Nations’ Global Goals for Sustainable Development. Goal 5 is about achieving Gender Equality and empowering all girls and women, everywhere.
This humorous take on ‘what if women treated men, the way men treat them’ is cliched, but very interesting.
In the first episode, Gaurav Pandey is seen as Kiran, a man who is frustrated by the opportunities women receive in the name of gender equality. He wishes for the world to change for one day, he wanted women to lead the life of men to understand the reality. And guess what? His wish comes true.
