Suits Season 6 Has Premiered, Open at Your Own Risk

The Suits Season 6 premiere got our minds jumbled. The worst had taken place at Pearson Specter Litt. Where Season 5 left off with Mike going into custody and Harvey helplessly watching him sacrifice himself for the firm, Season 6 episode 1 picks back up at the same moment.

While Mike goes in prison, Jessica, Donna and a hostile Louis all panic back at Pearson Specter Litt. Rachel and Harvey meet for a drink and redolate about when they first met Mike, before they head to the office to help with the situation. In a very unpleasant manner, Jessica finds out there is a class-action lawsuit against the firm for every case Mike has ever worked on. Even more unsettling is that all employees have left Pearson Specter Litt, every lawyer, assistant, receptionist and accountant.

On the other hand, Mike maybe meets the first person who can help him in some way: Counselor Julius Rowe. It’s unclear whose side Rowe is on, but he quickly puts Mike in his place. Mike is now feeling pretty damn vulnerable heading back to his cell. He meets his cellmate, Frank, who pushes Mike to open up with him and trust him. When Frank offers Mike a cell phone, he declines, but as the two begin to get to know each other Mike’s urge to talk to Rachel grows. He asks to just send one text to assure Rachel he’s okay.

Louis continues to try and find a way to contact all the old lawyers, but the one IT guy left alerts the partners they’re being hacked by all the old lawyers looking to steal information about all the firm’s clients. They realize they need to move all the firm’s money elsewhere and invest it. That’s when Louis has a million-dollar idea: If they use all the firm’s money to pay to fight the class-action lawsuit, clients can’t sue for their money back because the firm won’t have any.

Worried about Mike, Rachel calls the prison to ask if he’s okay. They do not give her any updates and she’s devastated to learn she can’t visit Mike for over a month. She receives Mike’s text of assurance, but our naive Mike spoke too soon.
