Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who was charged in the 2002 hit-and-run case, has been acquitted of all the charges by the Bombay High Court on Thursday.
The Bombay High Court had earlier convicted Salman, and sentenced him to five years in jail.
Justice AR Joshi said that the prosecution failed to establish its case against Salman on all charges. While acquitting him, Justice AR Joshi said, “The appeal is allowed. The trial court’s verdict is quashed and set aside. Salman is acquitted of all charges.”
