Well, this year is still half left and there is more to expect from bollywood:
1. Udta Punjab is an upcoming Indian crime thriller film based on drugs written and directed by Abhishek Chaubey. Produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor under their banner Balaji Motion Pictures in association with Phantom Films, it features Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead roles. The film is scheduled for release on 17 June 2016.
2. Junooniyat is an upcoming romantic Bollywood movie starring Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam. Hunterrr fame Gulshan Devaiah will be seen doing a small performance in the movie. The movie is directed by Vivek Agnihotri, produced by Bhushan Kumar and written by Vivek Agnihotri and Priti Singh. The movie is expected to be released on 24 June 2016. Junooniyat is an intense yet lilting ‘love story’ interlaced with some great music handpicked by Bhushan Kumar & Vivek Agnihotri. It took over 9 months to the duo to zero down the music of the film.
3. Sultan is an upcoming 2016 Indian sports-drama film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films banner, the film stars Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma in pivotal roles and centers around Sultan Ali Khan (Salman Khan), a wrestler who has problems in his professional and personal life. From a small town wrestler in Haryana, Sultan achieves global fame winning bouts at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, the 2011 FILA Wrestling World Championships in Istanbul and the 2012 London Olympics.
4. Mohenjo Daro is an upcoming Indian epic adventure-romance film co-written, co-produced, co-edited and directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. The film is produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Sunita A. Gowariker. It features Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles.
The film is set in the ancient city of Mohenjo daro in the era of the Indus Valley civilisation that dates back to 2600 BC. The film is about a man who falls in love with his enemy’s daughter who is a dancer. Centred on romance through the cultures and ancient civilisations of Mohenjo daro, Gowariker took over three years to develop the film with the help of archaeologists who documented the discovery of Indus Valley civilisation.
5. Jagga Jasoos is an upcoming Indian comedy-drama film directed by Anurag Basu, and produced by Basu and Ranbir Kapoor. The film features Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Adah Sharma in lead roles, and tells the story of a teenage detective in search of his missing father.
6. Rock On 2 is an upcoming Indian rock musical, drama film directed by Shujaat Saudagar, produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, and with music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The film stars Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Prachi Desai, Purab Kohli reprising their role from Rock On!!.Shraddha Kapoor will be sharing screen space opposite to Farhan Akhtar. Along with these names, it will also feature actor and musician Shashank Arora as a supporting character.
7. M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story is an upcoming Bollywood biographical film directed by Neeraj Pandey. The film is produced by Rhiti Sports Management, Inspired Entertainment and Adarsh Telemedia. The film is based on the life of Indian cricketer and the current ODI and T20I captain of the Indian national cricket team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The film features Sushant Singh Rajput in the leading role as Dhoni. John Abraham, Kiara Advani, Herry Tangri, Anupam Kher and Bhoomika Chawla play supporting roles. The film is scheduled for release on September 2, 2016. The teaser of this movie was released on March 15, 2016, the day 2016 ICC World Twenty20 started.
8. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is an upcoming Indian romantic drama film written, directed and produced by Karan Johar. It features Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan in the lead roles. The film is scheduled for release on 28 October 2016.
9. Befikre is an upcoming Indian Hindi romantic drama film written, directed and produced by Aditya Chopra under his Yash Raj Films banner. It features Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor in the lead roles. As of March 2016, Befikre is filming in Paris. The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on 9 December 2016.
10. Dangal is an upcoming Indian biographical sports drama film directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The film is produced by Disney Studio India. The film stars Aamir Khan portraying the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat, who taught wrestling to his daughters Babita Kumari and Geeta Phogat. Geeta Phogat was India’s first female wrestler to win at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, where she won the gold medal (55 kg) while her sister Babita Kumari won the silver (51 kg). Dangal is the native name of a wrestling site in Hindi which is popular in India. It has also regional names like Kusti and Pehlwani in India. Dangal is scheduled to release on 23 December 2016. The music for Dangal will be composed by Pritam, while lyrics will be written by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
11. Great Grand Masti also referred to as Masti 3 is an upcoming Bollywood adult comedy film directed by Indra Kumar and produced by Ashok Thakeria. It features Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani and Urvashi Rautela in leading roles, yet the film does not continue and is a new installment. The film also stars Mishti, Sonal Chauhan, Pooja Chopra as wives.
12. Rangoon is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language period romance drama film, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The project is a period film set during World War II. It stars Saif Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor, and Kangana Ranaut in lead roles. Also, Kangana Ranaut will be traveling to New York City to research her role, and will head to an island in Mexico to learn solo living. The film is scheduled for release on 24 February 2017.
