India is the land of Kamasutra but still talking about is a taboo. This taboo is just in India but when you talk about India outside its boundaries, India is known for Kamasutra. Such is the case that Singapore Airlines have named on it, Kamascootra.
Singapore Airlines wanted an Indian connect and they considered having something related to superstar Rajnikanth or the God of cricket Sachin Tendulkar. “We wanted a name with an Indian connect… something that is quirky and funny . We considered naming the plane after superstar Rajnikanth’s name like Thalaivar or something associated with Sachin Tendulkar like his jersey number or birth date. We finally opted for Kamascootra,” said Scoot’s India head Bharath Mahadevan.
The Kamascootra will be used on the inaugural Singapore-Jaipur flight on October 2. Scoot is Singapore Airline’s long-haul budget carrier. Scoot is all set to induct its 12th Boeing 787 Dreamliner in the Indian aviation space.
Singapore Airlines, your creative team has really got a great name for the Scoot in India.
