Ira Singhal has fought all odds to reach where she is. She knows how rude and insensitive people in India are. Despite all this she became the first disabled woman to top the India’s Civil Services Examination. She showed the world what she was capable of even with her spinal disorder which disrupts her arm movement.
Ira Singhal is not just someone with great brains, but she has a heart where she is ready to help whoever is in need. One such incident happened when she with her friends was coming back from Mussoorie to Delhi. They encountered a Maruti car crashed into a tractor. Driver and passenger were badly hurt.
She with her friends pulled them out. This is when she came across how insensitive Indians are. When they asked for help not a single person stopped the car. It is not that she was asking for help on a secluded road, but it was the always busy Delhi-Meerut highway. People slowed down to see the blood but not ready to help. Where is the humanity we talk about? Why have people become so cruel and heartless that they are not ready to help a dying person.
