Bollywood beauty Asin married Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma in a private Christian wedding ceremony, and then tied the knot as per Hindu wedding rituals, on January 19. The couple got married in Delhi, at Dusit Devrana Resorts.
Asin wore a gown by Vera Wang, and Rahul was seen sporting a black suit and bow tie.
A close relative of Rahul said, “It was a beautiful wedding. Everyone looked amazing. It was Asin’s idea to have a Catholic wedding. We all are very happy.”
A Delhi-based music band, Elohim Worship, performed at the wedding. One of the members of the band said, “Everything went great at the wedding. We played 2-3 songs. Asin looked beautiful in her white gown. We had a rehearsal on Monday.“
For the Hindu ceremony, Asin wore a Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s creation. This evening ceremony, like a typical North-Indian wedding, included jai mala and pheras. The groom arrived in an open car with the baaraat.
Both the functions were kept private, and only close friends and family of the couple attended the functions.
Akshay Kumar, who is a close friend of the couple, served as the best man on their wedding.
According to the sources, a private party is likely to be held at Rahul Sharma’s Delhi farmhouse today, and a grand reception would be held in Mumbai on January 23.
