On Monday, a goat was arrested for grazing in a senior judge’s garden in Chhattisgarh’s Korea district, as reported by TIMES NOW.

This ‘criminal‘ goat was accused of damaging district magistrate Hemant Ratre‘s garden by trespassing the boundary wall and eating flowers & vegetables of his garden, despite repeated warnings.
The police arrested the black goat, Babli, and its owner Abdul Hassan on the complaint of  Judge Hemant Ratre’s gardener.
Assistant Sub-Inspector R. Srivastava said, “The peon who maintains the garden had warned the owner of the goat many times. So he filed a complaint and we arrested the goat and its owner.
The goat was booked under charges that could lead to a prison term of up to 2 years.
The owner has admitted that it was the goat’s fault and promised it would never happen again. Both of them have now been released on bail.
“The goat and the owner were under police custody and are out, as both the sections 427 and 447 of the IPC (Indian Penal Code) are bailable offences,” said officer Ram Sewak Paikra.
