Bollywood Movies That Proved A Big Disappointment in 2016

Every year comes with some expectations and hopes. This holds true even when it comes to Bollywood movies. With the start of the year, we expect a few movies to be great entertainers. The expectations come from the cast, director or the movie of which it is going to be a sequel. But many times our expectations fail and those movies end up being a big thud.

The year 2016 saw a few such movies that disappointed us badly. Here a few that we wanted to be just amazing but failed terribly.

1. Baar Baar Dekho

A Dharma movie that gave us amazing music and great locations failed to impress the audience with its time travel concept. We wished we could see what we expected from Siddhartha Malhotra and Katrina Kaif.

2. Mohenjo Daro

A period drama directed by Ashutosh Gowariker with an actor like Hrithik Roshan had to be a spectacular one but the movie flopped badly at the box office due to lack of research and authenticity about that era.

3. A Flying Jatt

A movie about a superhero with his imperfections could not fit in the audience’s mold of a superhero movie. The movie gave the viral Beat Pe Booty Challenge but failed to impress as a movie.

4. Mirzya

Mirzya, the adaptation of the classic Mirza and Sahibaan, was the big debut of Harshavardhan Kapoor and Siyami Kher. The movie bombed at box office badly and leaving all of us disappointed.

5. Rock On 2

We loved the Rock On, be it it’s rocking music or the stellar performances by the whole cast but the sequel failed to cast an impact like the first one in both the areas.

6. Raaz Reboot

The expectations from this movie were really high due to the fact that it was the part of Raaz franchise but it could not live up to what the prequels have achieved.

7. Fitoor

Katrina’s red hair for Fitoor was more in news than the movie itself. The movie was the adaptation of Charles Dickens’ novel Great Expectations but failed to fulfill public’s expectation.
