Well, we want to start by saying that this is definitely a DO NOT TRY AT HOME thing!
In a photo shoot, 33-year-old women posed along with 20,000 bees on her swollen belly ‘celebrating life and death’.
Emily Muller posed for her ‘belly bee’ for her pregnancy with her 4th child. She is a bee-keeper by profession and knows how to handle them. She owns a company named Mueller Honey Bee Co. which sells honey and a natural remedy made from honey and elderberries and also helps to remove hives on request.
According to Muller it is preferable to work with bees when they are swarming because before they leave their hives to follow their queen, they eat a lot which makes them sluggish and with a full tummy,m they do not go stinging people.
Her maternity photo shoot was photographed by Ohio-based Kendrah Damis and it was not a stunt she explained.
“Bees represent life and death,” she said. “We’ve had three miscarriages, so these pictures are dedicated to life and death, to all of the children we’ve had.”
Muller’s fourth child is due in November.
Muller is letting her womb experience the “spiritual” moment, by shooting with the bees.
“It was absolutely amazing to connect with nature in that way and to have the bees directly on my womb was so spiritual,” she said, adding that the photo-shoot will help raise awareness that bees are gentle and not scary.
Good luck ‘bee mamma’!
