We are ignored by most, tolerated by some and misunderstood by all. We are the ‘Hijra’ community of India. In spite of all this the are happy with a smile on their face. This spirit of them has been brought to light by Y-Films.
Y-Films has launched India’s first transgender band on Youtube. The band comprises of six transgender members, thus called ‘6 Pack Band’. It is an effort of Y-Films to further the cause of gender equality and help the third gender to get the due recognition in India.
The first single of ‘6 Pack Band’ is a cover rendition of Pharrrell William’s global hit ‘Happy’. The song gives the message of being happy no matter how bad circumstances get. For coming songs the band has collaborated with ever charming Sonu Nigam. Also a special mention to Anushka Sharma for giving such a powerful voiceover in the video.
A big thanks to Y-Films for such a happy song and for the effort they have done for the third gender.
