Kicking off all the stereotypes and being herself, loving herself with all imperfections and flaws. This what Harnaam Kaur is all about.
Harnaam was just 11 when she started to get facial hair, just like all the boys around her. She learnt that she was suffering from Polycystic Ovary Syndrome that was causing hormonal imbalances in her body.
She was bullied by people around her, was called a dog, monster, fat, ugly, prostitute, gorilla and monkey (other stuff too)
It is absolutely cruel that people don’t realise that she has a heart, she’s a woman with feelings and its her body that they are making fun of.
She has her days when she feels bad and uneasy about herself but there are days when she feels super confident and absoltely loves every bit of herself and her body. But aren’t we all the same? DOn’t we all tend to have those extreme mood swings of love and hate for ourselves, and which is very normal.
“I told myself, ‘The energy you are putting into ending your life, put all that energy into turning your life around and doing something better.’” She said in an interview.
All we can say is that she’s an inspiration for all of us who are not satisfied and are trying to be someone they are not just to impress others. Be yourself, love yourself and be true to others!
