Sounds so familiar. That is how we process rape in our society, as honour Rape does not bring shame to the family or community of the rapists but to the victim. Our leading newspaper headlines say, izzat loot li gayi, honour was stolen.
We need to change the way we think about rape. This initiative has been taken by Shreena Thakore, Ria Vaidya and Anushka Jadhav through No Country For Women, an internationally-recognized gender education initiative that aims to combat systemic gender-based discrimination in India.
