Epsom salt has been used by people for years and is both affordable and very effective. Most of the people are not aware of the benefits this salt has to offer.
Epsom salt is not the regular salt that we use in our food, while that salt consists of sodium chloride, this one is magnesium sulfate.
Epsom salt is very healthy if consumed in food ands also has many beauty benefits.
1. Body scrub:
Epsom salt makes a very good ingredient for a good body scrub. Add 1 Tablespoon of Epsom salt to half a spoon of olive oil or baby oil and scrub your body with it. You will be left with a very smooth, soft and nourished skin.
2. Minor sunburn:
If you have minor sunburn, you do not need to go far from your kitchen, just mix 2 tablespoons of Epsom salt into a cup of cold water and wet a cotton cloth with the mixture and apply to the affected area.
3. Face mask:
Exfoliating your skin with Epsom salt is the best thing you can do for yourself. Make a mixture of 1tbsp honey, olive oil and Epsom salt and scrub very gently for 5 minutes then leave it on the skin as a mask. You will have a glowing brighter skin!
4. Hair volumizer:
Take conditioner and Epsom salt in equal quantity, warm them in a pan and apply it from your scalp to the ends and leave it on for 20 minutes before rinsing. You will have soft and silky hair with a voluminous look.
5. Foot soak:
Epsom salt makes a very good ingredient for a detox foot soak. Add a half cup of Epsom salt in a tub of warm water and soak your feet for about 12-15 minutes. Follow it with a moisturizer or coconut or olive oil for soft and smooth feet.
6. Internal health and beauty:
Having Epsom salt in food will help you improve blood circulation and relieve you of constipation and stress. This will purify the blood and bring out your inner glow.
7. Body Detox:
Add one cup of Epsom salt to your bathtub along with few drops of lavender essential oil and soak in it for 20 minutes. It will detox your body and lavender will help you relieve stress and calm you.
