Maggi was banned on 6’June 2015, after which Nestle India had challenged the ban in the Bombay High Court. In August 2015, the court lifted the nationwide ban imposed on Maggi by the Indian food regulator, but ordered a fresh test of the samples in three independent labs. On Friday, Nestle India announced that they will start making Maggi noodles again as all the samples of Maggi have been tested and cleared by the the three laboratories.
Nestle India said that over 3,500 tests has been conducted on Maggi and all the reports are clear.

“We have received test results from all three laboratories mandated by the Bombay High Court to test Maggi noodles samples. All the 90 samples, covering six variants, tested by these laboratories are clear with lead much below the permissible limits.” – Nestle said in a statement.

The company has been ordered to send five samples of each variant to three authorized labs in Punjab, Hyderabad and Jaipur. The company said “We will start selling only after the newly manufactured products are also cleared by the designated three laboratories,” the company said.

So Nestle will commence manufacturing the Maggi noodles, but they did not give out a date when the popular noodles will return to shelves.
